Young Colorado Entrepreneur
Emma is a young entrepreneur who says that she loves the freedom that comes from making money for herself.
During her senior year of high school she was already working part time as a barista at a local coffee shop. But, that didn’t scratch the entrepreneurial itch that seems to run in the family.
Since a young age Emma has always had side projects, usually something that allows her to take advantage of a creative streak a mile long.
As a Colorado lifestyle photographer, I think that’s what most attracted me to Emma. I initially connected with Emma when she was looking for a Colorado high school senior photographer.
Later, after hearing from her that she was making these hand-crafted corsages I had the opportunity to take these cool photos. With her high school’s senior formal just around the corner, she was part of a group in charge of making preparations.
After seeing some of the commercially available corsages, Emma said she knew that she could do a better job. So she did!
I love the way that they show her independent spirit, incredible creativity, and strong will.
Now, she’s headed to Arizona for college to pursue a degree in business administration, and has already taken the next step and decided to open a little pop-up flower shop in the near future as a side gig.
Photography has given me many things and one of them is having the chance to watch the early trajectory of young female entrepreneurs.
It’s like watching a rocket take off. Who knows? As a Colorado wedding photographer as well, I always hope to reunite with my younger subjects somewhere down the road.
